SagaEvery developer has a story. Mine unfolds in six arcs. From curiosity to burnout to redemption.
Scroll to witness the journey.
Beginning
Where it all started
My sister and brother were already in the industry. Watching them made me curious. I started with HTML and CSS in 11th. Finished JavaScript before 12th ended. That vacation, I dived deeper: React, Next.js, TypeScript, Databases. I built real projects. Real systems.

Exposure
Stepping into the real world
My first job pulled me into the real world of tech. Deadlines replaced tutorials. Clients replaced practice projects. I learned how to ship. How to communicate. How to work inside a team. I enjoyed the people. The process. The growth. But the pay was “standard.” And my ambition wasn’t. So after hours, I kept building. Sharing progress. Networking. Preparing quietly.

Breakthrough
Endless hustle. First win.
My efforts didn’t go in vain. I landed a client through Discord. Remote. Colombia. Better pay than before. But the real surprise was the culture. “Great work.” “Thanks.” Simple words. Rare to hear back home. The team was super kind. Nice and easy to talk to. We shipped the project. Delivered it clean. Remote work felt right. But outside the screen, I was still alone.

Momentum
Bigger systems. Higher stakes.
The previous project ended. A few gigs in between. Then another remote role. A trip booking startup. Got in through a referral. Full-time. Eight months. This was different. Bigger systems. Real complexity. The hardest build so far. Gym kept me balanced. Work kept me sharp. The pay was stable. Better than before. For the first time, I felt comfortable. Maybe too comfortable. I started socialising more. Nights got longer. The MVP shipped. We parted ways on good terms.

Downfall
The Breaking Point
The project ended. I didn’t secure a backup. Why? The last two roles came to me. No applications, without chasing. So I waited. For recruiters. For messages. For luck. I didn’t apply anywhere. Side projects stopped. Momentum slowed. I kept telling myself “I’ll start tomorrow.” Reels. Gaming. Long hangouts. Gym moved to noon. Schedules broke. Days passed. Weeks passed. No work. No progress. I wasn’t tired. I was comfortable.

Locked In
The Redemption Arc
The realization came late. But it came. And I took it personally. Side projects resumed. Progress shared. Networking intentional. Gym back on schedule. Books over reels. Fewer distractions. Clearer focus. No more waiting. No more hoping. Just work. Piece by piece, the puzzle aligns again. This time, I’m not leaving it to mere chance.
